30 Minute Cinnamon Rolls


Yield: 12 slices  Prep time: 15 minutes  Baking time: 15 minutes
Total time: 30 minutes


  • 120 ml yogurt
  • 1 egg
  • 50 ml vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • pinch salt
  • 8 gr baking powder
  • 200 gr all purpose flour
for the filling:
  • 50 gr butter, softened
  • 100 gr light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • hanful chopped walnuts, chopped
for top:
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
for the glaze:
  • 80 gr icing sugar
  • 1,5 tbsp milk


1. Preheat your oven to 180C(356F) and grease a muffin tin
(or use a round cake pan) with cooking spray or grease with oil. Set aside.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, egg, oil, vanilla, sugar and salt. Add the baking pwoder and half of the flour. Mix until well combined. Add the remaining flour and knead until a elastic ball of dough begins to form. Add more flour if dough is too sticky. Set aside.

3. In a small bowl, combine the light brown sugar and cinnamon until well combined. Set aside.

4. Punch the dough down and roll it out onto a floured surface into a rectangle. Spread the soft butter over the top and sprinkle evenly over the sugar mixture and walnuts. Staring from one of the long ends, tightly roll the dough. Cut into 12 slices and place them cut side down in a greased pan. Brush top of each slice with melted butter. 

5. Bake in preheated oven for about 15 to 18 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from oven. Brush top of each slice with remaining melted butter.

5. While the cinnamon rolls cool for a few minutes make the glaze: In a small bowl, stir together the confectioners sugar and milk until smooth. Immediately pour the glaze over the cinnamon rolls.
