Cheddar Biscuits Recipe



1 egg
50 gr butter, softened
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp poppy seeds
110 gr all purpose flour
80 gr shredded cheddar cheese

1 egg yolk


1. Preheat your oven to 170 C - 338 F and line a baking tray.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, egg, baking powder and salt. Add the poppy seeds, flour and cheddar cheese. Knead until wel combined. Add more flour if the dough is too sticky.

3. Roll dough into walnut size balls. Flatten lightly and place on lined baking tray.

4. Brush top with egg yolk. Bake in preheated oven for about 15 to 18 minutes or until golden brown.
