Naan Cheeseburgers


makes 7 cheeseburgers

for 8 Naan flatbreads

300 gr all purpose flour
7 gr dry yeast
4 tbsp warm water
pinch sugar
160 ml warm water
20 ml vegetable oil
1/2 tsp salt
pinch ground black pepper

for 7 burgers

400 gr mined beef
ground black pepper
7 slices cheese
7 sliced tomatoes

remainging ingredients

garlic mayonnaise


1. Make the flatbreads dough: In a small bowl, disolve the yeast, 4 tbsp warm water and pinch sugar let sit for 5 minutes.

2. In a large bowl, Combine all purpoe flour, disolved yeast, warm water, oil, salt and ground black pepper. Knead until incorporated. On a floured surface, knead dough for another 5 minutes until an elastic dough. Place in oiled bowl, cover and let rise for 30 minutes.

4. Make the burgers: Divide mince into 7 equal sized balls. Shape into burgers. Cover and place in refrigerator to set.

5. Make the flatbreads: On a floured surface, divide dough into 8 equal sizes. Roll each dough out with an rolling pin.

6. Heat a skillet over medium heat, brush with oil. Place flatbread and cook both sides over medium heat. 

7. Grill burgers: Heat a skillet over medium heat, place the sliced tomatoes and grill both sides. Remove from heat. Place the burgers, season both sides with salt and ground black pepper. Grill both sides over medium heat. When done, place a sliced cheese on top of each burger. Grill for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.

8. Build the burgers: On a plate, place 1 flatbread, spread with garlic mayonnaise, top with arugula and 2 sliced tomatoes. Place the cheeseburger and fold bread.
