Pizza Twists


Serves: 15 twists - Prep time: 50 minutes - Baking time: 20 minutes - Total time: 1 h 10 minutes


  • 7 g dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 100 ml warm water
  • 200 g all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
You will also need:
  • 5 tbsp tomato sauce or your favorite sauce
  • 5 tbsp shredded mozzarella or your favorite cheese
  • oregano, optional

1. Disolve the yeast: In a small bowl, stir together the water, yeast and sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes.

2. In a large bowl, combine half of the flour, salt and oil. Stir in the yeast mixture. Add te remaining flour and knead until smooth. Add more flour if needed.

3. Cover and let sit for about 20 to 30 minutes.

4. Preheat the oven to 220C(428F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

5. On a floured surface, roll dough out into a rectangle. Spread tomato sauce and top with shredded cheese. Fold rectangle and cut into about 1'' wide strips. Twist each strip and place on lined baking tray. Season with oregano.

6. Bake in preheated oven for about 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
