Homemade Strawberry Jam



700 gr strawberries, washed and leafy tops removed
400 gr granulated sugar
1 lemon juice or 1,5 tsp lemon salt


1. Cut the strawberries into little slices. Put the strawberries and sugar in a saucepan, cover and chill for about 4 hours.

2. Remove lid, stir the sugar and srawberries together. Place the pan on a medium heat, bring it to the boil for about 5 minutes then simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.Carefully skim any foam off the top of the jam.

3. Stir in the lemon juice or lemon salt nd simmer for about 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Divide the jam between your sterilized jam jars. Leave to cool completely then cover the jars and pop them in the fridge. Once sealed, the jam will keep for about 2 weeks.
