Tahini Cocoa Cookies with Sesame | Episode 524

Melt in your mouth cookies without butter with tahini, cocoa and roasted sesame seeds.

Ingredients
  • 100 ml tahini
  • 125 ml oil
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 110g confectioners sugar
  • 16g baking powder
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 200g all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg white to coat
  • roasted sesame seeds to coat
Method

1. Preheat the oven to 180 C 355 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a medium mixing bowl, stir together the tahini, oil and egg yolk. Add the confectioners sugar and stir until well combined. Then add the baking powder, cocoa and flour, knead until smooth.

3. Roll into small balls, dip in the egg yolk and then in the sesame seeds. Flatten the balls lightly with your hands. Place on the lined baking sheet.

4. Bake in preheated oven for about 20 minutes. Allow to cool completely before removing from the baking sheet.

*Store in an airtight container for up to 10 days.
