Ingredients
  • 120g unsalted butter, softened
  • 120g light brown sugar
  • 90g granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • pinch salt
  • 30g cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp red food colouring (Wilton red red)
  • 280g all-purpose flour
  • 100g white chocolate chips
  • handful unsalted peanuts, optional
  • heart shaped sprinkles, optional
Method

1. Cream the butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add the pinch salt, cocoa powder and food colouring. Stir until well combined. Stir in the flour and baking powder. Then add the chocolate chips and peanuts, stir until mixed.

2. Roll into 8 to 10 balls or use an ice cream scoop. Place on a lined baking sheet. Top with heart shaped sprinkles.

3. Transfer the baking tray to the fridge for 15 minutes to set.

4. Preheat the oven to 180 C / 355 F.

5. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes.

6. Allow too cool for at least 5 minutes before removing from the tray.

*Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
