Ingredients
- 500g boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 250 ml buttermilk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp chili pepper
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1//4 tsp white pepper
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
Coating:
- 100g cornflakes
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp chili pepper
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp parsley
- 50g cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp oil
Sauce:
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tsp hot sauce
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 220 C / 425 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Cut the chicken breast into medium sizes.
3. In a medium mixing bowl, sit together the chicken, buttermilk, spices, salt and hot sauce. Set aside.
4. Crush the cornflakes, flour, spices, salt, parsley and cheddar cheese together in the bowl your food processor.
5. Coat each chicken breast piece in the crushed mixture, plce on the lined baking sheet.
6. Drizzle some oil over the pieces.
7. Bake in preheated oven for about 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
8. To make the sauce: Stir together the mayonnaise, hot sauce and spices. Chill in refrigerator before using.
9. Serve the chicken nuggets with the sauce.
