Stuffed Jack-O-Lantern Bell peppers

  • 6 Bell peppers
  • 200 gr tri color pasta
  • 400 ml pasta sauce
  • 1 tsp hot sauce(optional)
  • 6 tbsp shredded mozzarella cheese
  • salt
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • ground black pepper
  • pinch garlic powder


1. Begin preparing pasta. Once cooked, drain, set aside. In a medium sauce pan heat the pasta sauce, hot sauce, salt and spices for 5-6 minutes over medium heat. Combine the sauce, pasta, vegetable oil and salt. Heat for another 2-3 minutes.

2. Meanwhile, carve faces in your peppers. To do this, cut a round section on the top of the pepper. Discard the seeds and scrape away the insides. Being very careful, begin to carve the jack-o'-lantern face. When complete, set aside.

3. Preheat the oven to 220C(428F).

4. Stuff the peppers lightly with the pasta stuffing, and place them into a baking dish so they lean against each other. Top with shredded cheese and bake in preheated oven for about 10 to 15 minutes
