Crispy Fries with Apple Chutney

Total time: 50 minutes


  • 6 medium potatoes
  • Large pot water
  • Pot frying oil
  • Kosher salt
Apple chutney
  • 5 medium apples, peeled, pitted and cutted
  • 5 tbsp lemon juice
  • 50 ml water
  • 1/2 tbsp white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder

1. Bring a large pot water to a boil. Add the potatoes and simmer for about 15 minutes. Remove from heat. Drain and allow to cool. Peel the potatoes and cut into wedges.

2. In a medium saucepan, combine the cutted apples, water, sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice. Bring to s boil over medium heat. Simmer  for about 15 minutes over low heat. Remove from heat. Use hand blender, blend the apples until smooth. Pour the apple chutney to a bowl. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes. Place in refrigerator until serving. Tip

3. Heat pot frying oil. Fry the potato wedges until crispy and brown over meidum heat. Tip: It's quicker to fry up two batches at a time in two frying pans. Season with kosher salt. Serve with apple chutney.
