Hazelnut Chocolate Cookies | Episode 416

Ingredients
  • 115g butter, melted
  • 80g powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 230g all-purpose flour
To coat:
  • 200g milk chocolate
  • 1,5 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 50g hazelnuts, crushed
Method:

1. Preheat the oven 200C 400F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

2. In a mixing bowl, stir together the melted butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, salt and milk. Add the all-purpose flour and knead until a smooth ball of dough begins to form. Add more flour if needed.

3. Shape dough into 30 small logs. Place on lined baking tray. 

4. Bake in preheated oven for about 10 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.

5. Stir the chocolate and sunflower oil. Melt in microwave (3x30 sec) or until melted. Stir each 30 sec. Add the crushed hazelnuts to the melted chocolate and stir together.

6. Using 2 forks, coat the cookies in the hazelnut chocolate mixture. Place on parchment paper. Repeat with remaining cookies. Refrigerate to set.
