Zucchini Roses - Ep 309


YIELD: 9 Roses - Prep Time: 15 M - Cook Time: 25 M - Total Time: 40 M




  • 3 puff pastry squares
  • 1/2 zucchini, halved and thinly sliced. 
  • salt and ground black pepper


1. Preheat the oven to 200C 392F and line a baking sheet with 9 paper muffin liners or with parchement paper.
2. Season zucchini with salt and pepper.
3. Cut each puff pastry squares into 3 strips and stretch the ends to make the strips longer.
Place 4 zucchini slices along 1 long edge of each dough, about 1/4 inch beyond edge of dough, overlapping slices slightly. Fold bottom half of dough over the zucchini slices to form a long "folder" of dough with rounded edges of zucchini slices exposed. 

4.Starting from one end, roll dough not too tightly to form a rose-shaped pastry. Seal roll with end of dough strip.
5. Place on lined baking sheet or place them in paper muffin liners and bake in preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
