Cheesy Oven Toast


Serves: 4 Toasts - Prep Time: 10 M - Cooking Time: 20 M - Total Time: 30 M



  • 8 slices bread (Casino or another)
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 6 tbsp heavy cream or milk
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 150 g shredded cheese
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil


1. Preheat the oven to 200 C 392 F and drizzle a baking sheet with vegetable oil.
2. In a bowl or deep plate, beat the eggs, heavy cream, salt and pepper.
3. Dip both sides of 4 slices bread in egg mixture and place on oiled baking sheet. Top each slice with shredded cheese. Dip both slices of bread in remaining egg mixture and place on the cheese topped breads. 
4. Toast in preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
