Tres Leches Cake with Dulce De Leche Glaze

Ingredients

For the cake
5 eggs
10 tbsp granulated sugar
300 ml vegetable oil
10 tbsp all purpose flour
5 tbsp semolina
1 sachet baking powder
1 sachet vanilla sugar

For the soaking mixture
2 cups cold milk
200 ml heavy cream
4 tbsp granulated sugar

For the glaze
1 cup Dulce De Leche Dulce De Leche recipe

Instructions





1. Grease a 9x13x2-inch pan. Preheat your oven to 170C(338F)

2. The cake: In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until creamy. Add the oil, semolina, vanilla, baking powder and flour. Beat for another 3-4 minutes or until smooth. Pour the batter into the greased pan and smooth the top. Bake in preheated oven for about 40 to 45 minutes.

3. The soaking mixture: In a medium bowl, beat the cold milk, heavy cream and sugar until you see bubbles on top for about 3 to 4 minutes. Plae in refrigerator.

4. Once the cake has cooled, cut the cake and slowly pour the soaking liquid over the cake. Let it sit for a few minutes to absorb. Once the cake has chilled, spread the Dulce De Leche over cake. Place the cake back in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
