Cherry Cream Dessert (No-Bake) | Episode 501

 No-bake dessert in only minutes. 
This dessert has a layer of vanilla cream, topped with petit beurre biscuits and cherry juice.

Ingredients

White cream:
  • 550 ml milk
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 8g vanilla sugar 

Cherry layer:
  • 400 ml cherry juice
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
50-75g petit beurre biscuits (about 11 biscuits)



Method

1. To make the white cream: Whisk the milk, cornstarch, flour, sugar and vanilla together.
Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer until thickened, whisking continuously. Remove from the heat.

2. Pour the white cream while hot into a 25 x 15 cm dish. Place the biscuits on the cream layer.

3. To make the cherry layer: Whisk the cherry juice, cornstarch and sugar together. Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer until thickened, whisking continuously. Remove from the heat. 

4. Pour the cherry cream while hot over the biscuits. Allow to cool completely.

5. Place the dessert in the refrigerator to set before serving.
