Ingredients
  • 1,5 kg pumpkin
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
Method

1. Cut the pumpkin, clean the seeds, slice in the size you like and peel them. Put the pumpkin in a large pot or dessert pan.

2. Pour the sugar and cinnamon over the pumpkin. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and chill it overnight, at least 8 hours. 

3. Preheat the oven at 220 C / 430 F.

4. Bake the pumpkin in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes or until they get soft. 

5. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for at least 1 hour. Place in refrigerator before serving. Serve cool with clotted cream (kaymak)/ice cream and nuts.
