Ingredients
Dough
- 300g self-rising flour
- 250g plain yogurt
- 1/2 tsp salt
Vegetable topping
- 1 bell pepper
- 1 tomato
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- handful parsley
- handful walnuts
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp pepper or tomato paste
Method
1. Prepare the vegetable mixture. In the large bowl of a food processor, fitted with blade, add bell pepper, onion, garlic, walnuts, parsley and salt. Pulse a few times to chop. Add the tomato paste and stir until well combined.
2. Make the dough. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yogurt and salt. Knead until a smooth ball of dough begins to form.
3. On a lightly floured surface, divide the dough into 5 balls. Working with one ball of dough at a time, place on a floured surface. Using a rolling pin, roll dough out into as thin as you can to a disk.
4. Spoon about 2 tbsp topping onto dough and spread topping evenly to edges, leaving a thin border. Transfer the lahmacun to a skillet and cook with lid over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes or until cooked.
5. Repeat with remaining dough and topping.
6. Serve lahmacun hot or at room temperature with vegetables and lemon.
