Ingredients
  • 125 mL milk, lukewarm
  • 7g instant yeast
  • 30g granulated sugar
  • 280g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 30g butter, softened
  • 5 tbsp Nutella or another chocolate spread
  • water + oats for top
Method:

1. In a small bowl, stir together the lukewarm milk, sugar and yeast. Let sit for about 5 minutes.

2. In a large mixing bowl, stir together half of the flour, butter and salt. Pour in the dissolved yeast and knead until well mixed. Add the remaining flour and knead until smooth.

3. Grease a medium bowl, transfer the dough the greased bowl. Cover and allow to rise for about 1 hr or until doubled in size.

4. Roll dough out, the narrow end should be as wide as your loaf pan. Brush the dough with the chocolate spread. 

5. Start with the narrow end and roll up tightly. Pinch edges well to seal.
Tuck ends under slightly and place in greased loaf pan. Cover and allow to rest for 1 to 2 hrs.

6. Preheat the oven to 240 C - 450 F.

7. Brush top of the loaf with water and sprinkle some oats on it. Bake in preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.

8. Let cool in pan for 5 to 10 minutes before inverting onto a cooling rack. You can slice and serve right away or let the bread cool completely.
