Ingredients
  • 14 g dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 150 ml lukewarm water
  • 330 g all purpose flour
  • 50 g yellow corn flour
  • 1,5 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • pinch black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 200 g cheese cubes

Instructions

1. In a small bowl, combine the lukewarm water, yeast and sugar. Let sit for about 5 minutes.
2. Transfer the flour and corn flour to a bowl. Make a well in the center, then add the dissolved yeast, garlic powder, black pepper and salt. Stir until well combined. Add the olive oil and knead until a smooth ball of dough begins to form.
3. Add the cheese cubes and knead until incorporated. On a corn flour dusted surface, flatten the dough lightly.
4. Dust a cast iron skillet or a baking dish with corn flour. Transfer the dough to the pan and flatten it more with your hands.
5. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and a clean kitchen towel. Allow to rise for about 50 to 60 minutes.
6. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 220 C / 430 F.
7. Bake in preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
