Spiral Hot Dogs


makes 8 sticks

4 hot dogs
8 wooden sticks
100 gr all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/3 tsp salt
6 tbsp water

pot oil for frying


1. Poke a stick through half a hot dog. Spiral cut by diagonally placing your knife against the hot dog while rotating. Spread open to create space between the splits.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking powder and water. Add more water if dough is too thick. Knead until a ball of dough begins to form. Divide dough into 8 equal size balls.

3. Roll the dough out into 10cm strips. Roll the strips around the hot dogs. Fry the sticks for about 2-3 minutes. Serve with ketchup and mustard.
