Tahini Bundt Cake | Episode 408

Ingredients
  • 3 eggs
  • 165g granulated sugar
  • 200ml sunflower oil
  • 200ml milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 270g all-purpose flour
  • 15g baking powder
  • 4 tbsp tahini
  • 50g crushed walnuts
  • 1 tbsp roasted sesame seeds

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 170C/340F and grease a large bundt pan.

2. In a medium mixing bowl, beat the 3 eggs on medium for about 4 minutes. Add the granulated sugar and mix for about 7 minutes or until creamy. 

3. Add the sunflower oil, milk and vanilla extract, use a spatula to stir. 

4. Stir in the all-purpose flour and baking powder until incorporated. Add the tahini, roasted sesame seeds and crushed walnuts. Stir until well combined, do not overmix.

5. Pour the batter into the greased bundt pan. 

6. Bake in preheated oven for about 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

7. Remove the cake from the oven, allow to cool for at least 30 minutes. 

8. Gently loosen its edges using a heatproof spatula. Turn the pan over onto a plate. Lift the pan off the cake, and allow it to cool completely.
