 Traditional Turkish fig dessert called incir uyutmasi is made with milk and figs.

Ingredients
  • 8 dried figs
  • 550 ml milk
  • nuts and extra figs to decorate
Method

1. Transfer the dried figs to a bowl, cover with warm water and let sit for 30 minutes.

2. Drain the figs and chop into smaller pieces, set aside.

3. Pour the milk into a pot and heat, remove from heat before it starts to boil.

4. Stir together the figs and milk, blend the mixture until smooth or stop with blending if you want larger pieces.

5. Pour the pudding into cups and cover with a clean kitchen towel. Allow to cool for 2 hours.

6. Transfer the cups to the refrigerator and allow to set before serving.

7. Serve the cups with nuts and figs on top.
